Information Regarding Change to Rutherford Technology High School Bus Services & Pass Requirements
Transport for NSW has advised from Friday 31st January 2025 there will be a change to Rutherford Technology High School Bus Services and Pass Requirmennts.
From Friday 31 January 2025 – Term 1
Service Changes - Grace Coaches and CDC NSW (operated by Hunter Valley Coaches) require different school passes (please see the following further information).
Following community feedback, Transport for NSW has added new Grace Coaches AM and PM services to meet demand for students travelling between the growing North Rothbury area and Rutherford Technology High School (RTHS).
A new service in the morning, school route S526 will service North Rothbury, Branxton, Greta and Lochinvar before arriving at RTHS at 08:08.
A new afternoon service, school route S526 will depart RTHS at 15:38 and service Greta, Branxton and North Rothbury.
In addition, students can also catch the adjusted morning school route S520 service arriving at Rutherford Public School at 08:38 and walk to RTHS.
Bus operator CDC (operated by Hunter Valley Buses) will continue to run PM service 2721 for Aberglasslyn departing RTHS at 15:49 and PM service 2233 for Lochinvar, Branxton and North Rothbury departing RTHS at 15:50.

Please note, the school bus students travel on may be a CDC bus (operated by Hunter Valley Buses) or a Grace Coaches bus. If it is a CDC bus, students will need an Opal card. If it is a Grace Coaches bus, they will need a school travel pass. Find out more about how to apply for a pass.
